I did post here before already, but I just remembered an old, horrible yet funny mistake:
Right before factions was released I decided to invest virtually all my money on purchasing 4 HOD swords (like 300-350k each) in order to sell them for more later.............
...........
..........To this day I keep one in my storage to remind me - DOH!

I don't know if i posted this already, but I don't think so.
I was newer, and the group i was with made it to one of the gold rooms in halls, so we were doing really well and beat all the group, but that one group could not open their door lol. So we decided to wait for the clock to run down and win... anyway I decided I was bored and opened their door and long story short we lost.
God that such a noob thing to do.

Asking Questions 3 years back like: " Why doesn't my ranger have more than 25 energy?"
Even though I'm a veteran, I regret acting like a noob.....

I used to play RA with my [flare] [healing breeze] ele alot. RA being RA i managed to win despite my crappy bar. I didn't know about Z keys at the time and whenever my balth faction filled up, I used to go to the rewards guy and I would unlock all the bow strings, then grips, then shield handles, etc.... wasted over 200,000 faction before i realised there was something better to do with it. :P

no that's not noob, those things are a PAIN in the butt. There is no explanation on how to use them, nor even any indication that they can be used at all. They're borked and buggy and it's completely off-topic but I hate those fuggin things. -_-
On-Topic! I've logged almost 5khrs in 21months on GW and only maybe 3 months ago discovered that the Enter key opens the chat to type >__<
Oppositely, I've raged in ally chat numerous times about identifying whites. As a friendly helpful person I remind newer players to ID their white items for greater profit. On several occasions I've been laughed at and called noob for suggesting ppl do this. In retrospect it makes me wonder why I've stuck with the same alliance for 20 months that recruits jackass noobs like that O__o

Lol they are easy to use. Stand in the circle where the teleporter is and lok at the swithes. They light up in the order they have to be switched. No offense but i cant believe you didnt know that.

I know how they work, I'm saying that they DON'T work. Its hard to get an angle where you can see them all, if you step out of the circle it resets, if you mess up it resets and makes you watch the same code sequence played over again before you can activate it again, it's prone to triggering lots of rubberbanding, and in general incredibly cumbersome to operate. Some of you will boast of your ease with them, but I know I am not the only one who finds them irritating.
Kay that was completely off-topic >.< uhmmm

Sold a guy an ecto for 100g, back when they were 17k.
Deleted my ele four times, before the power creep that was Nightfall.
Got lvl20 in Presearing, before figuring out that there was still 99% of the game i didnt do.
Loaded up a bunch of expensive weapons onto a pvp char, then deleted it.
And a bunch of other shit that I forgot...

Hmmm my first warrior was a w/e and apparently i was called noob when i used conjure fire on my newly brought plain blue fds (which costed me 10k). I look at the top gvg battles now and then what do i see W/E using conjure (element). Well maybe it wasnt noob on my part but maybe I was just way ahead of time 3 years to be exact. I made a Mo/Ra because back then you could cap the bear in pre-searing. That wasnt the noob part i had all divine favor and markmanship .
Also my monk still has that pre-searing bear as its pet.

LOL like 2 days ago I was in a pug with a monk who would run into the front line with the tanks and use that to be able to heal the group at the one time and he thought I was stupid when I tried telling him to stop using the skill around enemies lol. Meh oh well. Reminded me why I dont pug much.
Back when I first started the game I salvaged EVERYTHING. Didn't matter what it was. Unless I was gonna use it on that chara then I would save it. I salvaged blues, purples, golds...... 0.o I even used to salvage rare mats like charcoal. /doh

In my first week on Proph I dyed some starter armor black, then sold it, then spent 3 hours trying to figure out why the purchaser could'nt wear it before giving him a refund.
Doh.
Still got the helm somewhere for sentimental reasons.
nOObs ftw.

I think the noob part is also using a fire conjure and a cold damage sword, thus negating the effects of the conjure. I used to run a FoC warrior in RA hehe

Spent about 2 hours capturing [Immolate] from Auri the skull wand, and spent 3 hours trying to farm Tahkyun's Pincers with 3 henchies. xD
Other than that, I also merched a black dye, which of course, everyone did, lol.

I did not know how the armour system worked. So like Diablo 2 i assumed the armour level stacked together. I had one piece of armour for each elemental damage (e.g fire leggings, hand/wrist cold). Another noob thing that I did was running up to heal a warrior in middle of the battle by using Heal Area. Some dead party members pointed out what i was doing wrong.
Ohh yeah and like every ranger i tried to squeeze my pet into every build i had.

Someone gave me a free Drago's Flatbow back when they were in the 80k range. I was so happy, but being the fickle merchant I am, I decided to sell it. You know, just to see that 80k happily sitting in my inventory like I didn't care. So this guy offers 80k on it, then cancels. Then he says, "If you're fast and accept quickly I'll give 100k instead!" I'm like wow, am I a merchant or what. So I put it up for offer, he puts up his money a few more times with a few more cancel trades from him, then finally he accepts. I look gleefully to my inventory to find 100...gold. PWNED...
Then I threatened to report him. He gave me a lot of SF greens (I don't know why) and I ended up trading one of those greens (Stonehart offhand I think) for a Drago's Flatbow with some other guy. I actually ended up making profit.
